Gates open at 4 pm on Saturdays with Qualifying at 5.30 and eliminations around 6.30-7.00pm. General admission on regular races (points races with out booked in shows are $10) Booked in events are $15 for adults. Thursday nights Test and Tunes is still only $10 to watch or race.(please no Glass Containers) 6-9:30 Pm, Track Elevation: 1194 feet

Danny and Mona Dunn would like to congratulate students for having completed and graduating the 2012 year.We hope all of you have a safe summer.We would like to invite you to join us on the the  Thursday night Test and Tune  for the remainder of the month of  May  for FREE ,just bring your student ID card .If you chose to race the $10 entry will still apply but all  student spectators are our quest.

Chevy Continues it's Domination At Wilkesboro Raceway Park

After being the brides maid several times this year, Tim Mathis finally broke through and got his first Wilkesboro Raceway Park Top ET win Saturday night.

Mathis and car owner, David Price, and their colorful Camaro have been a fixture at WRP for several years now. Mathis got his win when former WRP Top ET Champion  Cecil Royal broke in the staging lane.
In Modified ET, Boon'e Paul Trivette and his beautiful 68 Nova took home the top honors. Trivette muscled the win away from hard charger Sid Brewer and his Mustang.
Racing continues this week at WRP with 2 big nights of racing! First up, Thursday night, with the popular Test N Tune night. Only $10 get you in the gate to watch your friends or you can take your car down the famed WRP Dragstrip.
Then Saturday, along with the stars and cars of the WRP Points Series, The Classic Gear Jammers will return with their big wheelie fast paced action!

Thursday Night Shootout Winners

 

Thursday night shootout winners were Amy Miller in her 91 Camaro in True Street who defeated Brandon Carlton Ford Mustang.
Michael Holloway took out the first shoot out winner Kevin Smith in the the Top street Motorcycles  The next Shoot outs will be June 7th

 

 

Trivett & Robertson Tops At WRP

Wilkes County was the place to be this past weekend. Merelefest was rocking during the day, and the weekly Speedfest rocked the night at Wilkesboro Raceway Park.

Roger "Santa" Robertson and Chevy continued their Top ET domination with his third victory of the 2012 season. Robertson and his Nova were nearly flawless on the evening.
Meeting up with the Davis/Mathis Camaro in the finals, Tim Mathis gave it his all, but wasn't quite enough putting Santa back in the WRP Winners Circle.
Along with Robertson,another " High Country" driver paid a visit to the WRP Winners Circle. Michael Trivett got his first Modified ET win of the season. Trivett driving a Mustang instead of his famous wheelstanding classic Mercury Comet took on all challenges and shut them down. Trivett defeated the Camaro of John Taylor in his win.
In Jr Dragsters,First year driver Bryce Stanley Jr took his second win of the year.
Action Continues at WRP this Thursday night with the Test N Tune night. Where you can race or watch your friends race for only $10. Gates open @ around 5:30.
WRP will be closed on Saturday May 5th, but will re-open for Top ET and Modified ET racing action on May 12th.

Blevins And Shell Tops At WRP

When the Blevins Motorsports gang shows up at Wilkesboro Raceway Park, normally, one of them will visit Winners Circle.

Saturday night was no exception, the leader of the group, former WRP Top ET Champion, Timbo Blevins and his Jefferson NC based classic Chevelle bested Lenoir's Steve Clark and his Nova in the Top ET finals.
In Modified ET, former WRP track champion Dennis Coffee and one of the fastest footbrakers around, Paul Shell Jr. pulled to the line in the finals. Coffee's Mavrick took off first, but the fast classic Chevy of Shell, ran him down and took the Modified ET trophy.
Action continues this week at WRP with the popular Test N Tune night Thursday night. For only $10 you can watch your friends go down the famed WRP strip or if you want, you can join in on the fun as well! WRP will be closed Saturday night, but WRP points series action will return April 28.
