A note from Danny Dunn
By Danny Dunn on Oct 4, 2011 | In Info
First off I want to apologize, for reinstating three racers back into the race Saturday night. After having time to review all of their runs, it was a decision in error. That will not happen again. From this point forward All runs will remain as the timing system prints. If we make an error in the tower such as running Top ET in a Mod ET mode (no crosstalk), or a computer freeze (power loss) then those runs will be re-ran. If a dial-in is incorrect on the scoreboard and you accept it, than that is the racer's responsibility to not stage until it is corrected.
All computers have issues from time to time, after all we are talking about hundredths and thousandths of a second, a variable that only a computer can calculate. Our computers are sent off yearly for certification, and all of the down track sensors are new this year.
Another issue is racers entering the staging lane late, and causing confusion with the car with the bye run. If you come in the lanes after the first pair of cars complete there run in your class, you will be disqualified for that round. If you are running the same car in two class it is your responsibility to make the call.
Lastly I want to thank all the racers who supported us this season, no doubt it was a tough one, with the economy and all...but be certain that I will not compromise safety or integrity for the sake of keeping a racer.
Also WRP will pay the entry of all the Race of champion cars into the Friday night gamblers race.If you are eliminated from the RoC race you enter into that round of the gamblers race.
Good Luck to all this weekend and thanks for supporting the RACE against CANCER
